I chose the nautilus shell for the name and image of my practice due to the strength, resiliency, and growth it represents.
The nautilus shell is compartmentalized and can be divided into as many as 30 chambers. As the shell grows, the nautilus moves its body forward into the newest and largest chamber. As it does this, the shell also puts up a wall to seal off the smaller and older chambers, which become gas chambers that help the animal float when needed. When you look at the cross-section of the nautilus shell, you will see how it is arranged in a precise way known as the Golden Ratio spiral based on the Fibonacci sequence or the sacred geometry. The Fibonacci sequence is a geometric symbol that resonates across nature and through various spiritual traditions around the world, defined as a spiral, or a series of spirals.
"This sequence is so astounding and important because it acts as a map for spiritual growth. We start in the beginning, where we begin to understand that our actions have reactions. To gain the knowledge of where we disconnected and how to move on helps us to spiral out. We must challenge ourselves in situations to grow."
I see an array of clients, however I primarily conduct individual therapy, with adjunct family sessions as indicated. I utilize a holistic approach in our work together, utilizing the body and mind to guide us to your overall mental health goals. My main role as your therapist is to facilitate growth and change so you can achieve the greatest version of yourself.
Taking the first step is often the hardest. Here at Nautilus, I believe that therapy is not a one size fits all. I meet each and every client where they are and formulate techniques and approaches around your goals.

Hi! I'm Jill, the founder and owner of Nautilus Counseling & Wellness, LLC. I created this practice to bring quality and personalized care to my clients in my own way.
I have 10+ years experience in the mental health field working in various settings with children, adolescents, and adults.
A little about my background: I received my Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology (now known as William James College). I have experience working in residential facilities, in-home therapy, outpatient therapy, and was the Assistant Clinic Director at a local community mental health agency for 6 years. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. I have specialized training in Anxiety Disorders and OCD treatment, as well as holistic treatment modalities (nutrition, mindfulness).
**I also work at Bridgewater State University as part-time faculty in the Graduate Department of Counselor Education. Please note that if you are currently enrolled in this program or plan to enroll in this program, it would be a conflict of interest for me to work with you clinically.
